Position summary: Tote Delivery Drivers operate box trucks and are responsible for delivering and removing containers to and from commercial and residential sites. Drivers must have the ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a valid license with a clean driving record.
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Ability to read and understand a map.
- Ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission, a plus.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Box truck experience, a plus.
- Waste industry experience, a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Drivers provide containers to the customer’s site and haul away. The driver is expected to replace containers neatly at the designated area. When replacing the container or taking it away the driver is required to leave the customers location clean and free of debris.
- Drivers will transport containers to and from the container yards. Driver safely maneuvers vehicle in residential and commercial environments and navigates high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots safely.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completed end of day required documentation and the checkout process with the Route Supervisor
- Assist the Company in completing all routes for the day in various locations, even after any initial route assignment is completed by Employee.
- Maintain and update DAILY driver logs as required.
- May be asked to wash totes periodically.
- Provides good customer service in all interactions with the public.
- Regular attendance consistent with the Company Attendance Policy
- All other duties assigned by management.
