We are currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor to work in our Corporate Accounting Department. This individual will report to a Senior Manager and will work closely with the Treasury department, maintaining cash balances and cash accounts in various systems. The ideal candidate will have Kyriba cash management and GL system experience, which are both regularly used in this role for treasury, cash and GL reconciliation activities. The Accounting Supervisor will manage other accounting staff and will work closely with various senior and staff accountants performing general ledger analysis and account reconciliations, assist in the preparation of monthly / quarterly closing entries, and prepare financial analysis reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all day-to-day accounting activities, including posting of accounting transactions, monitoring and maintaining daily and monthly cash activities and balances
- Manage and mentor accounting staff
- Review/prepare daily liquidity update
- Manage corporate cash receipts process
- Review monthly bank reconciliations completed in Kyriba
- Prepare monthly and quarterly closing entries
- Review general ledger balances for completeness, accuracy and account classification.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
- Perform detailed analysis of general ledger account fluctuations
- Support quarter-end and year-end review and audit process; addressing auditor inquiries and preparing and providing support details and analysis
- Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis as assigned
Requirements:
- BS in Accounting
- 7 years of accounting experience
- Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience, specifically in Excel
- Public accounting and/or recent real estate experience preferred. Commercial real estate experience is a plus.
- Kyriba cash management/GL reconciliation experience strongly preferred
- MRI knowledge a plus
- People management experience
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, as well the ability to focus on meeting deadlines
- Must thrive in a fast paced, team environment and be flexible regarding ad hoc reporting and possess the ability to form strong working relationships throughout the organization
The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $100,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
