Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Civil/Structural Analyst to join our Akron, Ohio (OH) office. As a critical member of the Renewable Energy team, you will perform a variety of civil/structural engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the structural design, calculations, and engineering of utility-scale solar projects
  • This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solar engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure the successful execution of solar projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 2 years of prior civil/structural engineering experience working with a professional design firm
  • EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Knowledgable in AutoCAD, RISA3D (or structural softwares), coding language and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
