Key Responsibilities:
- Project Administration: Implement and manage project administration systems; oversee assigned job site personnel.
- Job Controls: Ensure accurate tracking of quantities, costs, revenue, and schedules.
- Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, and inspectors to foster long-term client partnerships.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing, expenses, and job costing.
- Change Orders: Prepare and submit change order quotations to clients.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure adherence to contract terms and maintain quality control standards.
- Reporting: Generate accurate construction reports for projects.
- Procurement: Draft subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in heavy civil construction, preferably in wet utilities, within private or public sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with heavy civil construction practices, including wet utilities, grading, concrete, and paving.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting contract plans, specifications, and documents.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, capable of independent operation, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD, Excel, Word, HeavyBid, Outlook, Adobe, Topcon 3-D Office, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam is preferred; ability to learn new software quickly is essential.
