The company is seeking an Estimator to join their Georgia and Texas teams. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and coordinating the schedule, procurement, staffing, and budget for each project. You will also act as a point of contact for clients, assisting with cost estimates and supporting management in bidding and pricing decisions. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in pavement striping and the ability to perform precise, detailed cost estimation and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Prepare and send estimates to various subcontractors for bidding purposes.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to make adjustments and finalize cost estimates.
- Track historical cost data to help estimate costs for current and future projects.
- Meet with clients, vendors, personnel, and construction foremen to discuss and resolve issues as needed.
- Maintain cost, material usage, and installed quantities on a daily basis throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Produce and distribute necessary project documents to personnel and construction foremen.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project plans and specifications accurately.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with clients and subcontractors.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all estimating tasks.
- Knowledge and experience in pavement striping is required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
