Title : Public Relations Intern
Reports to : Marketing Content Associate
Summary :
The Ensemble Arts Philly Public Relations Internship is an individualized internship structured around a participant’s strengths / areas of interest, focused on building confidence and skills through hands-on learning while working at a high-energy performing arts center. In this program, interns will be introduced to the many aspects of being a public relations professional and given opportunities to expand their knowledge of the performing arts industry. The PR Intern will be responsible for the following but not limited to :
- Draft press releases, media alerts, blog posts, and social media posts
- Gather, organize, and archive media press clips into weekly report that is distributed to over 200 staff members
- Write, pitch, and create social media content through photos, video, and graphic design
- Research social media trends, story pitching opportunities, and potential influencers
- Interact with press, media influencers, and the public in a professional manner at events
- Communicate with guests and influencers
- Gather visual assets to fulfill internal and external design requests
- Assist in the creation of videos promoting institutional initiatives
- Assist PR / Marketing Department with various support tasks, as needed
