Commissary Cook Position
Maintain sanitation, health, and food safety standards in work areas
Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared
Cook and package large batches of food
Maintain cooking temperature logs
Ensure that all cooked food reaches 165 degrees internal temperature, and all cold items are stored below 41 degrees.
Operate Large-volume cooking equipment such as, grills, deep-fat fryers, ovens, proofers, vacuum sealers, meat slicers, mixers, and BBQ Pits
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
Organizing food inventory, following the FIFO method
Pack orders for store deliveries every day
Must be able to lift up to 80 LBs
Assist in delivering orders to stores
Assist in counting inventory for weekly audits
Must be able to work as a team
Normal work schedule will be M-F with occasional weekend support
Qualifications
