Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department and contributing to meal preparation for our clients.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Support the dietary aide in serving meals and catering for special events as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and dietary guidelines is a plus.
- Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations.
