Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Control Analyst to join our team. This role will focus on ensuring the successful execution of projects by applying proven project control techniques to manage cost, schedule, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the defense industry, preferably with knowledge of federal contracting, and will be committed to supporting the continued success and growth of Native Hawaiian-owned businesses in the defense sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cost Control and Budgeting: develop, monitor, and track project budgets and forecasts. Perform cost analysis, identify discrepancies, and work with project managers to implement corrective actions. Support earned value management (EVM) processes, ensuring compliance with project performance and financial objectives.
- Schedule Management: assist in the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules. Ensure that project milestones and timelines are met, and proactively identify and mitigate scheduling risks. Provide regular updates and prepare reports for stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Reporting & Data Analysis: prepare and present monthly project controls reports, including cost performance, schedule status, and risk assessments. Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with project teams to provide data-driven insights that support decision-making and project success.
- Collaboration & Communication: work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other internal stakeholders to algin project objectives with budget and schedule. Communicate project status and concerns to management and clients, ensuring transparency and clarity.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure that all project financial documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with contractual and regulatory standards. Assist with audits, project reviews, and government reporting as necessary.
- Support proposal pricing efforts as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a Project Control position, with experience supporting a government contractor highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
