Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team in Daytona Beach, FL. This full-time hybrid role offers the flexibility of both in-office and remote work arrangements. Our branch is licensed in Florida, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, and Missouri, providing a broad platform for loan origination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for originating, evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loan applications. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, assessing their financial status, and guiding them through the loan application process to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate mortgage loans by establishing relationships with clients, real estate professionals, and other referral sources.
- Evaluate loan applications and documentation by confirming creditworthiness and adherence to lending guidelines.
- Conduct financial analyses to assess the feasibility of granting loans
- Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring all required documents are accurately completed and submitted.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current mortgage products, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with underwriting and processing teams to facilitate timely loan closings.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mortgage loan origination
- Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to assess creditworthiness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and operate in a hybrid work environment.
- Proficiency in mortgage loan software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Licensure as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) in the applicable states is required.
