Logistics Agent executes company objectives by coordinating all shipping, receiving, and tracking system control operations for non-cannabis inventory. This position utilizes company tracking documents and GMP documentation to maintain adequate inventory and support Operations. Tasked with providing strong support for operations by working directly for the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager. The agent is responsible for the physical and digital reception & distribution of orders received to departments, organization and functionality of receiving dock & staging areas, and maintaining adequate stock room levels for all non-cannabis inventory that is systematically tracked and follows regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
- Receiving orders of all non-cannabis related inventory into the facility and inspects all incoming packages, freight, and material to confirm quantity received and checks for any observable/visible damage. After the physical check, documenting all data needed in the correct spreadsheets and software systems. Furthermore, delivers all inbound shipments to appropriate storage area(s) or commodity area(s) within our facility by coordinating with management.
- Follows proper food safety handling procedures for receiving ingredients.
- The Logistics Agent(s) will attend a bi-weekly team meeting with the rest of the logistics department. This meeting is to provide updates for each other and go over any issues and action items that need worked on. The agent will check the planner that tracks these updates in real time to see if there are any new action items needed to complete.
- The agent will be responsible for helping with dutchie inventory counts and adjustments during the weekly inventory counts, along with keeping the system uniform with items moved from one location to another in real time.
- Maintains systematic nomenclature specific to operations by coordinating between the necessary departments, corporate council, and the in-house leadership team. This includes but not limited to: categories, rooms, IDs, SKUs, types, items, strains, and measurements.
- Receive edible manufacturing ingredients compliantly into Dry Ingredient Storage room(s). Provide documentation to track delivered items through Leaf Logix and the Isolocity GMP database system. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Logistics Agent to maintain accurate documentation and report discrepancies to the Logistics Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining physical dock and stock room compliance, establishing priorities, resolving problems, supporting departments, and reporting the data to management in real-time.
- Coordinates with Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager to facilitate implementation of updates and features to the system which affect non cannabis inventory.
- Respond to the various departments who may need information regarding vendors, products, or deliveries. In addition, coordinates with departments and Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for items needing to be shipped off.
- Notifies the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager of additional planning needs in advance of employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to managing the job functions provided. Furthermore, reports to their manager preemptively when errors occur which may impact operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight and small parcel carriers who make regular deliveries to our facility.
- Maintains flexibility to want to expand cannabis knowledge by reviewing professional publications, helping prepare packaging, and working in departments to provide support as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to further support Operations.
- The candidate will have no felony convictions
- Individuals applying must be a minimum twenty-one (21) years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license or ID
- Ability to regularly lift, stand, bend, twist, sit, crouch, and use full range of motion to complete physical job duties. (Must be able to lift 50lbs )
- 2 years of experience focusing specifically on shipping & receiving and/or inventory tracking systems
- A State and Federal background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Intermediate Computer Skills – Document Control, Inventory Tracking, Spreadsheets, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite.
