We are seeking playful and energetic DIRFloortime Players to work with autistic youth in our center-based program. Our DIRFloortime Players provide one-to-one and group-based therapy sessions at our center.
This is a full-time salaried position with daytime hours, allowing flexibility for additional home-based client opportunities outside of the center if desired.
Here’s what your role as a DIRFloortime Player may look like :
Work under the supervision of an AFT (Advanced Floortime Player) or QHP (Qualified Healthcare Provider).
Build meaningful relationships with youth through play and connection.
Provide 1 : 1 and group-based developmental support tailored to each child’s needs.
Video your sessions for reflective learning and supervision.
Light data collection to track progress.
Use positive, affective approaches to create meaningful change in each child’s development.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and at least 1 year of relevant experience or education required.
Valid form of ID.
Pass Federal and State background checks.
Ability to play on the floor and engage actively with children.
Reliable transportation.
Working device to record sessions and take session data.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Experience (1 year required) :
Childcare (babysitting, daycare, preschool teacher, assistant teacher).
Special education (educational settings, special needs).
Developmental intervention (early intervention).
Autism interventions (RBT / Behavioral Technician, autism support specialist, ABA therapist, other DIRFloortime experience).
