Job Summary
The Coordinated Family Supports (CFS) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of services and supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The CFS Supervisor will lead a team of specialists to ensure services are delivered in alignment with program goals, organizational values, and state regulations. They will work closely with staff, clients, and their families to maintain a high standard of care and provide personalized, culturally responsive services.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision and Training:
Supervise, train, and mentor CFS Specialists to ensure quality service delivery.
Conduct regular team meetings to provide guidance and address staff needs.
Oversee staff compliance with Title 17 training requirements and other regulatory standards.
Program Oversight:
Monitor program implementation to ensure services align with individual care plans and organizational objectives.
Review and approve assessments, care plans, and progress reports prepared by staff.
Ensure that services address client needs, including equitable access to resources and culturally appropriate delivery.
Client and Family Support:
Provide direct support in complex cases, including crisis situations or when additional guidance is needed.
Act as a liaison between families, community resources, and regional centers to facilitate service coordination.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Title 17, California Regional Center guidelines, and other applicable regulations.
Prepare and submit required documentation, reports, and audits in a timely manner.
Continuous Quality Improvement:
Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.
Develop and refine policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
Collect and analyze data to identify service trends and areas for growth.
Community Collaboration:
Build and maintain relationships with community agencies, service providers, and stakeholders.
Represent the organization in community meetings and regional center discussions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in developmental disabilities, case management, or family support programs.
At least 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Title 17 and California Regional Center regulations.
Familiarity with community resources, generic services (e.g., SSI, IHSS, Cal-Fresh), and developmental disabilities systems.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, cultural competency, and interpersonal skills.
Certifications and Requirements:
Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Criminal record clearance and fingerprinting prior to start of employment.
First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
