How you will have an impact at Kinder's:
Kinder's is seeking an experienced Packaging Production Designer who is passionate about family, food, and flavor. The primary responsibilities of the Packaging Production Designer are
to contribute to overall production of conceptual development and design under the Club umbrella. This position will work directly with the Senior Project Manager and report to the Creative Director. Should be comfortable producing complete go-to-market packaging programs around signed-off themes, initiatives and channel resets. PPD will combine all experience, content, trends, material, and market research into realistic executions in both organizational, and technical design. Ensures that initiatives are consistent with overall business strategy and complies with international/domestic regulations as it relates to current industry standards. Super passionate about sustainable design and proactive about creating design options that reflect that.
Key Responsibilities of this Role
- Develop conventional print-ready packaging
- Create comprehensive packaging programs for new and evolving
brand initiatives across various channels
- Effectively manage multiple creative requests throughout project lifecycle.
- Rapid-turnarounds and ongoing updates.
- Translate rough mockups and renders into print-ready files.
- Create multiple versions of the same per Co-packer's specific needs/die-lines
- Maintain and update project details using internal workflow & management tools (DAM/PIM/Wrike).
- Clearly communicate with external vendors, ensuring clarity and context.
- Collaborate and troubleshoot with Creative Director, Graphic Designers, Project Managers, Co-packers and Print Partners.
- Advocate for and uphold standard operational procedures.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of applied production design experience.
- Impeccable organization, and technical design skills.
- Familiarity with pre-press requirements and press-checks.
- Eagle eye with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for brands, adept at building communication hierarchies.
- Proficiency in visually narrating compelling stories.

- Embrace iterative processes with enthusiasm for multiple rounds of revisions.
- Track, maintain and update specific project details with a combination
of workflow management tools (DAM/PIM/Wrike).

Location & Travel
The position will be based out of our 20,000 sq. foot office in Walnut Creek, CA. We strongly believe in the power of culture and community and have a hybrid work structure with 4 days in the office on a weekly basis to encourage collaboration and personal connections that will allow us to better serve our customers and consumer and to have more fun. Fridays are flex days with employees having the opportunity to choose to be either in the office or to work from home based on what makes most sense for them.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $90,000- $105,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
