Role Overview
This role involves teaching children in a supportive and engaging environment, using KinderCare's curriculum to promote learning and development.
As a teacher, you will work closely with parents and other staff members to ensure that each child receives the best possible care and education.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring less experienced teachers in your classroom
- Modeling behaviors and providing feedback
- Implementing KinderCare's curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child
- Creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and play
- Partnering and connecting with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
- Supporting your center's success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
- Approved state trainer (preferred)
- 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
- Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents
