Job Description:
This role involves supporting elementary-aged children during out-of-school time on school grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in Early Childhood Education and be able to implement our curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our curriculum standards
- Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional learning and cognitive development
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of child progress and development
Requirements:
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors
- Physical ability to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents
