Job Description
We're seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher at Two Rock Union Elementary to join our team! As a key member of our center staff, you'll play a vital role in shaping the lives of young minds and helping them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor less-experienced teachers in your classroom, modeling best practices and providing constructive feedback.
- Implement KinderCare's research-backed curriculum, tailoring it to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and learn through play.
- Partner with parents to provide exceptional care and education for their children.
- Support your center's success by collaborating with staff and leadership to drive enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask effectively.
- An active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy status.
- Approved state trainer certification (preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education (preferred).
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or demonstrate a willingness to obtain necessary certifications.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain it.
- The physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
- The capacity to assume postures that allow for physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to ensure child safety, and engage in physical activity with children.
- Fluency in English to communicate effectively with children and their parents.
