Role Responsibilities
This role involves leading, coaching, and mentoring less experienced teachers in your classroom. You will model behaviors and provide feedback to ensure that each child receives a safe and nurturing environment where they can play and learn. You will also partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children. Key responsibilities include implementing KinderCare's curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child, creating a positive relationship with families and staff, and supporting the center's success by achieving goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with young children, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You must also be able to meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification. In addition, you must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors. You must also be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children. Finally, you must read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
