Pre-School Dance Teacher - South Austin

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Dance Teacher to join our team of rock stars. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and the ability to engage children in meaningful learning experiences as well a dance experience.

Duties

• Teach lessons in creative movement, gymnastics, ballet or tap
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and fun learning environment
• Communicate with boss, parents and director of pre-school location when needed
• Participate in online training and staff meetings (paid)

Experience

• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is essential
• Dance experience required
• Ability to pivot when a class isn't engaging in the lesson
• Background in theater or performing arts can be beneficial for incorporating creative activities into the classroom.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effectively interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for educating young minds and fostering a love of learning is crucial for success in this role.
• Must have own transportation

Specifically looking for a candidate that at least has Monday and Friday afternoon availability as well as Monday morning availability. All locations are south of the river (think South Austin and Buda) and please keep in mind as you apply for this position.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
