Reports to: Kindergarten Center Principal
Job Summary:
The Math Interventionist teacher demonstrates strong instructional practices and strong knowledge of Math curriculum and intervention programs. Supports the function of the school district in the pursuit of attaining district goals and student achievement results. In collaboration with building level administrators and district leadership, the Mathe Interventionist teacher carries forth district initiatives in Math Intervention programming, and assisting the district in compliance with all education regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of quality intervention programming for students in need of support;
- Adept at using differentiated instructional techniques with addressing the needs of students with learning difficulties;
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic assessments, program monitoring tools, universal screeners, and formative assessments to develop individualized learning plans for students experiencing mathematics difficulties;
- Ability to meet the instructional needs of students by providing targeted support strategies across all content areas;
- Attend student meetings to ensure best practices and high quality of education programming under the guidance of the building principals;
- Attend workshops and conferences on best practices in intervention programming in core subject areas;
- Assist in the professional development of school staff on issues relevant to intervention programming in collaboration with district administration;
- Any other responsibilities deemed necessary related to intervention programming by building and district administration.

- Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students and patrons of the District
- Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage
- Knowledge of PA Core Standards and eligible content
- Knowledge of Instructional Planning Guides as it relates to the instructional block
- Knowledge of Digital Curriculum components
- Ability to courageously lead conversations focused on equity, closing opportunity gaps, and equal access to technology-infused lessons of rigor
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District staff and administrators, students, parentsor guardians, outside agencies, and the public, in a multi-ethnic, multicurltural, multilingual environment
- Ability to receive and implement feedback to improve practice and systems
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
- Valid Pennsylvania Certification: Instructional Grades PK-4, Instructional Elementary K-6.
- Experience as a Math Interventionist desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Pushing, moving and lifting objects with a strength factor of light work
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of standard office equipment
- Clarity of vision at varying distances
- Verbal, auditory and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner
- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Frequent sitting, standing and walking
- Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies
- Occasional kneeling, crouching and squatting
- Occasional bending, reaching and stretching
- Occasional pulling, pushing
Level of Compensation: $50,726 - $103,534 (dependent on Step and Track placement as determined based on collective bargaining agreements).
This is a 10-month position in the Southeast Delco Education Association contract group.
