What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Kinderhouse Preschool?
Kinderhouse Preschool, a quality childcare center, is searching for a full-time Early Childhood Teacher with great passion to take care of children. It would be ideal to have the completion and certificate of 45 hour DCF training. If you do not have the 45 DCF hours your must have at least 25 hours of required DCF childcare courses or be able to complete OEL 15 Hours of online training in Health and safety Modules within 3 days of training here at Kinderhouse Preschool. We will need to do a background check if hired. Application can be obtained at facility.
The ideal teacher should possess:
- A passion for educating the young learners from a play-based perspective, using the environment as an important teaching tool.
- Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, energy, and a love for learning
- Knowledge of best practices for early childhood education including the documentation of children’s progress by writing anecdotal records, taking photos, and collecting student work.
Duties include, but not limited to the following:
- Create environments for children with a strong focus on emotional, physical, cognitive and social care
- Observe and assess children to plan and individualize care
- Maintain developmental records for each child in comprehensive portfolio
- Develop strong relationships with parents and children to foster home and school connectivity
- Able to lift and function freely to provide protection and care for young children (Ability to lift up forty (40) pounds in emergency situation)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
