The Warehouse Supervisor provides supervision of material handler colleagues. The incumbent will ensure timely delivery of materials to support manufacturing operations across all Meridian manufacturing facilities and ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in accordance with cGMP’s following all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervises the receiving and handling of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments of components and finished products.
- Supervises material handlers (union) involved in conducting preceding responsibilities.
- Generates material requisitions for the delivery of goods to support manufacturing activities.
- Coordinates the movement of goods between facilities.
- Ensures inventory accuracy in the ERP system
- through the accurate entry of transactions, periodic
- cycle counts and performance of annual physical
- inventory.
- Coordinates personnel activities – i.e. vacations, sick time, etc. to ensure there is appropriate coverage in the department at all times; addresses personnel issues as they arise; trains new material handlers.
- Follows GMP documentation practices in the completion of inventory control, receiving and shipping records.
- Understands Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.
- Assists the Manager, Warehouse Operations with special projects and other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Business or Science and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing or warehouse operations and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills (oral and in written
- form)
- Must possess basic math skills and computer
- skills
- Ability to organize, problem solve and manager multiple priorities
