What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA Oakpoint Full Time Nights position at Kindred Healthcare Inc.?
- Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
- Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
- Answers call lights without delay and responds to request or relays information in a timely manner.
- Must complete all education assigned and required for the position including classroom and on-line courses.
Non-Essential Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
Certification as a Nursing Assistant, preferred.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) or able to obtain within 6 months of employment
