JOB SUMMARY
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed. Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
- Inspects, tests, and maintains records for all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
- Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required.
- Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
- A thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge and is able to identify each patient's age specific needs to promote a safe environment needed by a patient group.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
- Three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be able to fulfill the job requirements of minimal lifting and pulling.
- Be knowledgeable and competent in infection control responsibilities.
Certifications:
- Handle with Care required within 90 days from date of hire or transfer.
- Valid driver's license.
