Job Description :
- Promote and restore patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area.
- Direct and develop staff; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff.
- Provide physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families.
- Accomplish nursing human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
- Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job contributions; recommend compensation actions.
- Contribute to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Resolve problems and identify system improvements to meet nursing operational standards.
- Provide annual budget information; monitor expenditures and identify variances; implement corrective actions.
