Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in Sevierville, TN. This role requires a strong leadership background in nursing and experience in psychiatric care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight to the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance to maintain standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to support a skilled nursing team.
- Maintain knowledge of nursing procedures, medications, and correct administration.
- Understand and apply principles of human development over the lifespan.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing leadership experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Active RN License in the state of Tennessee.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, medications, and patient care standards.
