Job duties include assisting patients with bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and traveling to appointments in a timely and safe manner. Nursing assistants are responsible for keeping accurate records and communicating with the nursing staff regarding patients' progress. The successful candidate must be reliable and professional at all times in order to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with patients.
- Ensure the delivery of quality care by completing patient care assignments according to agency policies and procedures.
- Report changes in patients' conditions to nurse and respond appropriately to patient needs as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and protect patient's rights.
- Be aware of potential hazards and take steps to protect patients from them.
- Report need for maintenance, repair, or improvement of equipment and facilities to administrator.
- Lift, move, position patients.
