Director of Resident Services

Job Summary
The House Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that the needs of residents are met while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The House Manager will coordinate care plans, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with resident rights and regulations. This role requires a compassionate individual with strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and regulations governing long-term care facilities.
• Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care.
• Coordinate meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met for all residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including common areas and resident rooms.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including assistance with daily living activities.
• Facilitate social activities that promote engagement and well-being among residents.
• Respond to emergencies and administer first aid when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or hospice care preferred.
• Knowledge of resident rights and regulations governing residential facilities.
• Skills in meal preparation and dietary management for diverse needs.
• Strong background in patient care, social work, or related fields is advantageous.
• Ability to create and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
