Overview of the Position
Our store associates play a vital role in ensuring customers have a seamless shopping experience. Your responsibilities include achieving individual sales goals, contributing to store sales targets, and maintaining S&B's merchandising and housekeeping standards.
Main Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties
•Deliver exceptional customer service on the selling floor, in the fitting room, and at the cash wrap, aligning with S&B's high standards
•Efficiently manage garments, including receiving, ticketing, stocking, and merchandising, according to S&B guidelines
•Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash and credit payments, issuing receipts, and packing merchandise for customers
•Operate the cash register, perform tasks such as counting cash, processing charge slips, coupons, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits
•Additional specific skills may be required for individual positions
Skill Set
•Superior customer service skills are essential
•Commitment to a flexible schedule
•Strong math competency for calculating figures and amounts, such as discounts, proportions, and percentages
•Basic computer skills for efficient task management
Education & Experience Profile
•Must be at least 18 years old
•High school diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory, with an Associate degree preferred, accompanied by 6 months to 2 years of retail experience
Compensation
We offer a competitive starting rate of $15 per hour, with pay adjustments based on experience. Scrubs & Beyond welcomes applicants from all levels of experience.
Physical Demands
This role primarily involves sedentary work, requiring you to remain in a stationary position for at least 90% of the time. Occasional movement around the office is necessary, along with manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment. Close visual acuity to view a computer screen, auditory acuity to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels, and constant communication to exchange accurate information are also essential. You must be able to work in stressful situations.
