**Job Title:** Materials Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Manager to join our team at Kinedyne. This role will be responsible for leading the planning, purchasing, and inventory management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize supply availability, inventory investment, cost, and risk of obsolescence by forecasting and developing plans for materials, components, and product storage at suppliers.
- Direct and coordinate the plant SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process, Master Scheduling, and Production Planning to ensure efficient use of production and purchasing resources.
- Ensure import compliance and implement best-in-class master planning practices.
- Establish internal logistics plans and material delivery systems/routes to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain and coordinate activities to ensure vital plant metrics, including customer on-time delivery, backlog, days on hand inventory, and past due work orders/schedules.
- Recommend and assist in implementing goals and objectives for the Supply Chain staff.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works in a climate-controlled office setting with occasional time spent in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
- Maintains a neat, clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Minimal travel required.
