What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Technician/Assembler position at Kinetic Pressure Control Limited?
Responsible for performing testing, installation and commissioning of Kinetic products and prototypes.
Duties include:
- Support Engineering and Operations departments during manufacture, assembly, commissioning and installation of new and existing products.
- Manufacture company designed instrumentation and electronic control systems and all associated components, with the support of engineering as required.
- Work within the project schedules to deliver correctly assembled and tested assemblies, meeting key project milestones.
- Carryout troubleshooting, repairs and modifications to components and assemblies during manufacturing and testing as required and in conjunction with engineering.
- Collaborate with engineers to create meaningful solutions to challenging problems.
- Read and work from electronic schematics and redline drawings as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 5 years experience with electrical system assembly, testing, and maintenance
- Experience with PLCs, SCRs, and MCCs
- Instrumentation Experience with 4-20Ma, 0-20Ma, 0-10VDC, 1-5VDC
- Proficiency with Oscilloscopes and various electrical meters
- Proficient with up to 480 VAC & up to 24 VDC
- Previous offshore experience on a vessel, semisubmersible, or drillship preferred
- Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and procedures.
- Able to operate software application as applicable to position
- Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.
- Highly efficient user of Microsoft Office product suite;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Have the following training/Certs:
- TWIC
- BOISET / HUET
- Safe Gulf / RigPass
- Passport
