Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The I&E Technician maintains the controls and electrical systems of the Natural Gas Processing Plant and related pipeline facilities to provide a safe and compliant operation of the assets.
Performs regularly scheduled inspections of the electrical and controls systems to assure proper, safe and compliant operation of the plant and pipeline facilities. Also, identifies and detects any malfunctions/failures of the equipment and takes corrective action to repair.
Maintains and records the operating status and maintenance records of the plant equipment.
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains all control and electrical equipment (e.g., electronics, high voltage equipment, pneumatic and mechanical)
All other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of Associates degree in Electrical & Controls technology is preferred
Safely operate and maintain company vehicle
Possess and maintain a valid driver license
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the areas of operations & maintenance of electrical and controls systems
Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and good background in computer applications
Working Conditions:
Field work will involve walking and standing on rough terrain with uneven and slippery surfaces.
The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate but may regularly require exposure to loud noises from machinery.
Will be required to regularly drive to other field facilities within their assigned region.
Will regularly use a computer to create, record, store, revise and save documentation needed to perform their role.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
Able to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. in a safe manner.
Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on a telephone and in-person.
Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must live within a150 mile radius of Pecos, TX.
