What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Business Analyst position at Kinetik?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Volume Accounting and Business Analytics Manager to analyze volume and pricing data to ensure accuracy.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information to the organization
Interpret & analyze monthly volume and pricing metrics related to the profitability of the company
Reconcile monthly reports to present KPIs to upper management
Develop and implement data analysis to assist with commercial and operations transparency and decision making
Perform AD-HOC and WHAT-IF analysis around contract or allocation changes
Continually refine and improve data analysis to meet the needs of the organization
Assist in process automation and efficiency improvements
Perform monthly setup & changes to the Waterfield allocation system
Ensure all system and reporting changes are documented for SOX change management compliance
All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-5 years of experience in revenue accounting, finance, and/or business development in midstream oil and gas industry
Industry, Waterfield, and Cognos experience preferred, but not required
Strong organizational, analytical and research skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and produce results under tight deadlines
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the organization
Good verbal and written communication skills
Team-oriented individual
Ability to think creatively and proactively to improve processes
Ability to work after hours as needed
Working Conditions:
Will be working in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
Occasional driving may be needed to travel to Kinetik plants and worksites as needed
Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Will require lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 15 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis
