The Network Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting an organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures network systems' reliability, efficiency, and security, supporting the overall business goals.
Job Responsibilities :
- Network Monitoring : Regularly monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve network problems, including connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software malfunctions.
- Configuration Management : Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- System Upgrades / Replacements : Implement system upgrades and patches to ensure network security and efficiency.
- Technical Support : Support internal staff and external customers, addressing connectivity problems and ensuring network services meet user requirements. Teaching internal support on troubleshooting best practices.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for internal staff members.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams to coordinate network changes and upgrades.
