Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and assisting in the diagnosis of cardiac conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and sonography techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within a Level II Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac function and structure.
- TEE and TTE
- Treadmill stress tests with images
- Dobutamine stress test images
- Call results to patients
- Call and confirm appointments
- Reschedule and schedule appointments
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnosis.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
- Monitor vital signs during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Provide education to patients regarding the echocardiogram process and any necessary preparations.
- Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques.
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and radiology.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, particularly the cardiovascular system.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring is preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus.
- Certification in Sonography or equivalent is required.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams.
- Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center is advantageous.
