We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join the Atlanta office. This position will support Facilities Management in the daily operation of the Firm by maintaining office space that ensures compliance with the Firm's established standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Complete daily walk-through on each floor. Note and record any facility / maintenance related items that need attention. Resolve those items that require immediate attention. Replace light bulbs, relocate furniture and fixtures in the common areas, conference rooms, resource rooms and individual offices.
- Identify and record maintenance / repair problems that require outside services (i.e., carpet cleaning, furniture, and appliance repair). Arrange vendor when needed. Direct the activities of the vendor while onsite. Follow up to ensure that service was completed satisfactorily.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled maintenance items. Maintain records.
- Oversee daily maintenance on kitchen equipment, interacting with vendors, and ensuring all equipment meets life safety standards.
- Prepare office space for new employees and workroom space for documents / cases. Place all furnishings and equipment as needed.
- Identify and perform basic plumbing repairs, including opening clogged drains, replacing washers and parts.
- Prepare various surfaces for paint, enamel, varnish, or stain. Repair drywall as needed.
- Purchase and maintain on-hand inventory of commonly used tools, paint and supplies as directed.
- Handle interoffice moves. Act as a liaison between in-house customers and in-house service providers to ensure that moves are completed as scheduled.
- Interact with building management on janitorial, maintenance and HVAC requests / problems
