The Position: The Retail Supply Chain Planner is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes within our retail environments. This person plays a pivotal role in creating value for our growing retail footprint through development and management of scalable solutions to ensure the right product is in the right place and at the right time. This includes managing inventory, pricing accuracy, procurement of directly delivered goods, distribution and logistics to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery of goods to retail stores. This position is responsible for ensuring that all inventory adjustments, error queues, and other operational financial issues are researched and reconciled to maintain the highest level of inventory accuracy within a King Arthur Baking retail location, temporary or permanent. The planner will work closely with vendors, 3PLs, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain seamless operations and meet retail sales demand.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Ownership of SAP S/4HANA transaction processing includes and is not limited to conversion of MRP planned stock transfer and purchase orders and inbounding of goods receipts to our retail locations
- Monitor and manage stock turnover, minimizing overstock and stockouts.
- Monitor, perform and validate inventory adjustments
- Manage min/max settings in support of retail merchandising strategy and balancing demand forecasts
- With Store leadership, maintain pricing accuracy in multi-unit retail environments
- Ensure retail only products not in 3PL network are ordered and delivered as needed
- Produce aged inventory reports by location that support price reduction recommendations
- Initiate cycle count process instore as needed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure high-quality products and timely deliveries.
- In conjunction with distribution and logistics teams, evaluate and monitor 3PL performance specific to retail restock and resolve issues related to supply chain delays or quality concerns.
- Execute retail supply chain strategies that align with retail business goals, ensuring timely product availability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments (retail sales, marketing, operations, demand planning, finance) to understand demand forecasts and plan retail supply chain activities accordingly.
- Identify potential risks in the retail supply chain, including 3PL supply disruptions, supplier failures, or logistics issues.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential retail delivery interruptions
- In partnership with DC Operations, oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution functions to ensure products are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Manage the coordination of shipments, both inbound and outbound, ensuring timely arrival and proper documentation.
- Implement process improvements to increase retail supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower costs.
- Leverage technology and data analytics tools to monitor and analyze retail supply chain performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Be first line of communication and collaboration for retail store leadership on all things inventory and product flow
- Work closely with retail and distribution operations and sales teams to ensure alignment of product availability and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to understand promotional activities and adjust retail supply chain plans to support these campaigns.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on retail supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.
- 3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, with at least 2 years in a retail planning role including warehouse operations and transportation logistics
- Proven experience in executing supply chain processes, managing inventory, and overseeing logistics operations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong proficiency in technology use including SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Suite applications and data analytics tools.
