The Position: The Production Designer designs and produces print and digital assets while ensuring brand consistency and production readiness. They manage print vendor relationships, including sourcing, negotiating quotes, and overseeing production quality. Additionally, they develop signage, in-store displays, event materials, and other print collateral while also supporting digital design projects to maintain brand cohesion. They maintain organized creative files with proper version control.

The Location: Hybrid combining working from home, and onsite in White River Junction, VT roughly 3 days per week. Ideal candidates will be located within a 1-hour drive of our offices.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, produce, and prepare print-ready assets for a wide variety of channels including signage, event materials, print advertising, in-store displays, and more, all aligned with King Arthur Baking’s brand standards.
  • Manage relationships with print vendors, including sourcing and negotiating quotes,— and oversee external production, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness through meticulous proofing, prepress setup, and close collaboration to meet exact specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand, Marketing, Retail) to execute print projects that align with brand objectives and campaign goals.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring consistency in typography, color, layout, and overall execution across all materials.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing tight deadlines with creative excellence and technical accuracy.
  • Stay current with printing processes, materials, and production techniques, recommending best practices and innovative solutions when appropriate.
  • Support digital design projects (email, web, social, digital ads) as needed, ensuring brand cohesion across all platforms.
  • Organize, manage, and maintain final and working creative files, ensuring easy access and version control in alignment with team workflows and archival best practices.
  • Partner with the Creative team on photo/video studio tasks and occasional asset adaptation.


Experience and Education:

  • 3 years of professional design experience in print production, with a well-rounded portfolio demonstrating versatility and technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and project management tools such as Asana.
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Solid understanding of four-color pre-press and printing standards for assisting with print projects.
  • Strong understanding of digital design best practices and user experience.
  • BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrates a mastery across a spectrum of industry-standard software tools and technologies essential for creating compelling print digital content.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: The capability to work effectively with fellow designers, marketers, and other individuals; contribute to group efforts; and build positive working relationships.
  • Understanding of Branding: Awareness of the King Arthur brand identity and marketing objectives to align the content accordingly.
