What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Contractor - Assistant Site Manager position at King Capital Transport?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Back-up to the Site Manager
- Take ownership of the teams' timecards.
- In charge of coordinating and managing all vehicle maintenance needs and working with Mechanic(s).Including tasks like: moving vans back and forth from terminal to shop(s), preparing and getting vehicles on Schedule B for use.
- Attends daily supervisor meetings with FedEx contact to ensure compliance.
- Be a responsible liaison between our company and FedEx.
- Supports and assists the team with loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner as needed.
- Administrating King Capital Transport safety program and ensuring all team members complete annual requirements.
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to the business (payroll and maintenance reports). Upload Receipts as needed.
- Responsible for conducting driver ride-along for review, performance improvement, or safety requirements.
- Responsible for assisting with new hires and orientation/training, including overseeing training program and onboarding procedures/processes at your site.
- Assist in Driver Development and manage Safety program(s). and edit and adjust Safety Program according to what is required and necessary for success.
- Help conduct regular safety meetings
- Ownership of VEDR scores
- Backup to DRO
- Backup to Payroll
- FedEx trainer; preferred
- Must be able to complete all routes effectively and correctly in a timely manner.
- Must be able to safety and effectively operate all company issued vehicles (such as cars, trucks, large vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience leading a team.
- Must have a minimum 1 year of experience in FedEx delivery.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree is preferred).
- Valid driver's license with proof of a clean driving record 12 months prior to hire date.
- Must be able to provide valid proof of:
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience in the last 3 years
- 3 years of driving experience in the last ten years
- Hired employee must abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75lbs unassisted for extended periods.
- Must participate in King Capital Transport safety program.
- Ability to pass requirements of DOT Licensing (including drug and alcohol screening).
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Suites; required. Proficient in Ground Cloud; preferred.
Salary position: $48,000 -$52,000/ annually D.O.E.
