What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Contractor - Site Manager position at King Capital Transport?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- · Scheduling and assigning driver routes and matching them to correct vehicles.
- · Supports the team with loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner as needed.
- · Assist in Driver Development and Safety program.
- · Ownership of VEDR scores
- · Assigning/Creating routes in DRO while managing associate’s workload according to capabilities.
- · Back up of DRO Processing
- · Establishing and monitoring employee schedules
- · Ensuring vehicles get proper maintenance time.
- · Maintaining and recording receipts for associates.
- · Preparing maintenance reports as necessary.
- · Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, vans, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- · Responsible for conducting driving tests and onboarding for new employees when necessary.
- · Contributes towards performance reviews.
- · Responsible for conducting driver ride-alongs for review, performance improvement, or safety requirements.
- · Ensure compliance of other drivers through coaching and training drivers and conducting meetings with FedEx terminal representatives
- · Attends daily supervisor meetings with FedEx contact to ensure compliance in absence of manager.
- · Work with GroundCloud application to prepare the teams’ software for the day
- · Communicate with team regarding updates/changes with scheduling.
- · Adhering to the procedures and expectations of FedEx Ground.
- · Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- · Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- · Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- · Back-up to DRO
- · Must be a FedEx trainer
- · All other duties as assigned
- · Must work closely with contingency/ other manager(s), in the event a contingency/other driver(s) goes to another site. The Site manager will then oversee the driver(s) during that duration, however communication must be kept between all managers involved about the driver.
Requirements:
- · High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree is preferred).
- · Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading teams of 5 people or greater preferred.
- · Valid ND or MN driver's license with proof of a clean driving record 12 months prior to hire date.
- · Must be able to provide valid proof of:
- o Minimum 1 year of driving experience in the last 3 years
- o or 3 years of driving experience in the last ten years
- · Ability to operate/drive delivery vehicle for extended periods.
- · Hired employee must abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- · Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75lbs unassisted for extended periods.
- · Must participate in King Capital Transport safety program.
- · Ability to pass requirements of NDDOT Licensing (including drug and alcohol screening).
- · Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- · Strong time management and customer service skills.
- · Attention to detail and highly organized.
- · Proficient in Microsoft Office/Suites.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
