What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Maintenance Technician position at King City DBW LLC?
Summary: The Facilities Technician will assist with maintaining daily operations of the physical facility as well as the central plant. Will perform preventative and corrective maintenance duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performing a wide range of maintenance duties, including but not limited to preventative and corrective maintenance actions.
- Coordination with departments to ensure no disruption to production.
- Maintain exterior cleanliness and functionality of building and parking lot.
- Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments
- Performing a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly facilities along with assisting in the receipt of stock, organize and maintain supplies and equipment.
- Detecting faulty operations and defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Suggest improvements and review progress with department leads regularly.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Ability to get along and work effectively with others.
- Assist in Cultivation duties as needed to maintain production cycles.
- Assist in room cleanouts including but not limited to removal of debris, routine equipment maintenance, trellising, etc.
- Staging of cultivation materials for start of workday.
- Cleaning and sterilizing of cultivation areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent; basic experience in a related technical field, may be substituted by demonstrated proficiency
- Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred
- Valid state driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently is required to handle, mix and apply pesticides, fungicides, virucides, and sanitation products. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Generally working in wet environments, and must make sure PPE is always properly worn to prevent getting wet or contamination from spray application. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. As well as have the ability to see and work in dimly lit rooms with the assistance of green lights. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
