POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursery Stock Technician performs labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing cannabis, including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, transplanting, and facility maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Under supervision of lead, set up tables with trays, pots and vessels
- Responsible for tagging the trays with plants identification.
- Cataloguing and maintaining organization of plants, tags, and pruning biomass
- Record accurate information and ensure all tracking is compliant with government regulations
- Manage plants in early and late vegetative growth
- Maintain plant scheduling and organization week by week for all stages of growth
- Wash and sanitize all equipment. Scout all equipment, ensuring all tools are free of pests, viruses or disease
- Oversee standard nursery tasks such as watering, transplanting, spacing, topping, and pruning
- Monitor standard cultivation tasks such as spacing, trellis, weaving and spreading plants.
- Perform other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Knowledge of the entire cannabis growth cycle and requirements.
- Willingness to continue learning about horticulture and cannabis farming, and stay on top of current and future trends
- Have an understanding of plant biology
- Ability to work independently and to multitask efficiently
- Ability to take directions, self-check and follow up on work
