Additional Job Information WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This position is represented by PROTEC17. MISSION CRITICAL POSITION STATUS: This position has been designated Non-Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive, department director or agency head, all employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather. TELEWORKING INFORMATION: The work associated with this position will be performed or conducted through a combination of teleworking and onsite work and meetings. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. RECRUITER: Annette Coleman, ancoleman@kingcounty.gov Job Duties Perform research and analysis of risk of the Department’s subrecipient agencies, which includes researching and analyzing a variety of financial records, reports, statements, etc. and using this information to complete risk assessments. Perform fiscal subrecipient monitoring on behalf of the Department to ensure fiscal compliance with grant/contract requirements, all applicable federal, state and county regulations, and accounting and financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and County financial management standards. Prepare status reports of subrecipient monitoring and maintain and evaluate trends in agency compliance. Perform detailed review of other department financial and programmatic staff workpapers related to subrecipient monitoring. Draft results letters for subrecipient monitoring. Provide ongoing feedback and training to fiscal and programmatic staff related to subrecipient monitoring. Provide technical assistance to subrecipient agencies on financial related matters. Assist with establishing and maintaining departmental compliance procedures. Assist with designing and building analytical tools for our growing and evolving compliance portfolio. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Experience with administration of federal and state grants, reporting requirements and regulatory compliance guidance, such as 2 CFR 200. Experience with organizational administrative and financial structures as related to federal and state grants. Skill in the application of accounting principles and practices, including the application of governmental accounting and audit techniques. Ability to acquire and incorporate knowledge of specialized administrative and fiscal procedures and subject matter through review of contracts, financial statements, administrative or system reports. Ability to analyze complex operations and develop sound recommendations as to their solution and maintain meticulous records. Experience in managing multiple projects of varying complexity and scale. Intermediate level of technology proficiency using MS Office Productivity tools in your daily work. Strong communication, interpersonal, writing and customer service skills. Ability to manage your time and adapt to changing priorities, work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, meet quick deadlines and produce timely and quality work products. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or any equivalent combination of business experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the work. Experience performing subrecipient monitoring. Experience with audit processes.

Salary : $105,000 - $133,000
