Job Duties

As a Rail SCADA Systems Specialist Lead you will also:
Assist in workload planning, prioritizing and assigning work schedules.
Assist in the training of other Rail SCADA System Specialists.
Assign work; control and monitor workflow; ensure adherence to all maintenance schedules.
Train new employees and be the point of contact for any assistance needed.
Respond to questions and advise crewmembers as requested; instruct crewmembers on work assignments and advise on crewmembers' performance.
Provide feedback to higher-level staff on employee and teamwork performance as well as any behavioral and attendance issues.
Maintain a variety of records including work performed, time spent, materials used, operating logs and related information; enter and extract data using automated systems; maintain manual records as required.
Ability to provide support for service issues and failures at any time is required.
Perform modifications, preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, analysis and diagnostics on SCADA and communications hardware and software including equipment supporting rail system operations, network switches and routers, PANMS systems, CCTV systems, Remote Terminal Units, programmable logic controllers, and other complex and specialized rail systems equipment.
Participate in the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for SCADA systems and components. Prepare records and document maintenance and diagnostic data.
Determine work priorities for emergency maintenance tasks in the absence of on-site supervision; respond to emergency calls as necessary.
Work with other trades, contractors, and operating sections as needed.
Operate assigned vehicles including Hi-Rail and Aerial Lift equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Required Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, communications, network applications, software, and hardware.
Skill in installing, maintaining, and modifying applicable software and hardware.
Skilled in verbal and written communication with experience conveying technical information to non-technical users.
Experience in maintaining technical documentation and configuration control.
Must be a people leader with good communication skills and a result driven attitude.

Minimum of two years working as a Rail SCADA Systems Specialist
Physical Requirements:
Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift objects up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Frequent walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and stooping.
Work in confined spaces and at heights and in cramped and awkward positions.
Licensing, Certification and Other Requirements:
Washington State driver's license
May be required to obtain and maintain Hi-Rail, First Aid, CPR, Forklift, and other certifications.
Salary : $107,000 - $130,000
