Work Schedule
This position is designated non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible. This is a full-time position, and the typical work week is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Work Location
This position is hybrid with a combination of home-based telework and onsite work at the Chinook Building located at 401 Fifth Ave., Seattle, WA 98104. Position will require at least 1-2 days per week in the office and will need to be able to come in for meetings as needed.
Teleworking
Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking, and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team.

Job Duties
- Work closely with CHS Division Director to prioritize tasks, projects, and requests.
- Develop and coordinate programs or projects for CHS.
- Participate in strategic planning efforts and help develop and/or revise policies and procedures for assigned work unit.
- Research and analyze financial data, including identifying revenues, expenditures and discrepancies and conducting some basic forecasting; prepare financial reports and make corrections within established parameters.
- Analyze and evaluate data for assigned research projects and technical systems, assess program models and prepare summary reports.
- Interpret and provide management with information on current administrative policies and procedures and legislation.
- Develop routine contract specifications, including scope of work.
- Participate in planning and marketing and in providing business and support services for assigned work unit.
- Develop and manage a project of limited scope within work unit.
- Make presentations and respond to questions from community groups and the general public.
- Prepare presentation materials and publications for internal use.
- Provide lead direction to assigned staff on a project basis.
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, copying/publishing of documents, ordering and distribution of supplies and office equipment.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, orally and in writing to all levels of the organization and the public.
- Excellent written communication skills that include knowledge of proper English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling; ability to proofread and make appropriate edits.
- Exceptional planning, prioritization, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Experience demonstrating the ability to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously and producing high quality deliverables in timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal and human relations skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to present information in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
- Ability to handle administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping management and team members adequately informed.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the County.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills using software products such as Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of the operation of basic office equipment, including copier, fax machine, personal computer, printer, projector, scanner, etc.
- Skill in basic research and information gathering and knowledge of basic financial principles and practices.
- Experience using SharePoint; experience gathering and analyzing data and creating and managing databases desired.
- Demonstrated punctuality and dependability in daily attendance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in principles and processes of public health, health equity and social determinants of health related to identified population needs.
