The King County Employee Giving Program (EGP) within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks a highly motivated, organized, and dynamic professional to serve as an EGP Project Manager (Project/Program Manager III). This recruitment will be used to fill one Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position or Special Duty Assignment (SDA). The duration of the assignment is anticipated to end December 31, 2025.
As a key member of the KCEGP team, the EGP Project Manager will oversee employee engagement and development work to provide opportunities for all employees to meaningfully connect to causes they care about. This position will report to the Employee Social Impact and Well-Being Manager and work closely with the team to develop and deliver training, programming, events, communications, and marketing materials to support the goals of the program, and specifically for this duration with a focus on the Annual Giving Drive. The KCEGP raises more than $2 million annually to benefit nonprofits supporting the community. There are five lines of business which serve employees and the community year-round.

Job Duties
Applying equity and social justice principles is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all King County employees. This role will apply equity and social justice principles that exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work. As the EGP Project Manager, you will:
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, comprising a 40-hour workweek, normally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is not represented by a collective bargaining agreement and is classified as Project/Program Manager III; class code 2441300.
Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed predominately through a hybrid work schedule of onsite and remote work. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Frequent onsite presence will be required leading up to the annual EGP drive starting in September.
Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

Job Duties
Applying equity and social justice principles is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all King County employees. This role will apply equity and social justice principles that exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work. As the EGP Project Manager, you will:
- Manage and deliver the Ambassador Program from recruitment to recognition to effectively engage and develop Ambassadors who are the bridge between participating nonprofits and County employees. Provide training and develop materials both in-person and virtually to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage the coordination and delivery of programming such as the Annual Giving Drive and volunteering, and events to include Nonprofit Expos and Annual Celebration.
- Plan and deliver dynamic communications and marking materials utilizing multi-mode communications that Ambassadors and employees can use through communications plans and templates. Write and develop communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Recruit and lead a team of Short-Term Temporary Campaign Assistants to provide excellent customer service during the Annual Giving Drive. Coordinate work and develop the team through coaching, training, and mentoring.
- Review and update KCEGP processes and products with a focus on accessibility and equity.
- Identify opportunities to apply equity and social justice principles to enhance the work and delivery of training, processes, and the overall employee experience.
- Work on a variety of other project and assignments in support of KCEGP.
