This position serves a vital role in meeting our mission of setting fair and equitable property values through thorough administrative and technical oversight and support, and data analysis of the commercial appraisal administration of the department. This role involves daily interaction with staff and the public requiring leadership and collaboration skills, a strong grounding in administrative support and analysis of property/real estate data sets, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work in a culturally and generationally diverse team-oriented environment. ABOUT THE JOB: The department is searching for a candidate who is composed and an action-oriented administrative professional with office management and administrative leadership skills for coordinating and supporting various divisional and department level work. Knowledge of technical real property appraisal administration skills are foundational skill sets for this position. Exercising a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, and collaboration in coordinating and implementing administrative divisional operations. Specifically:
The successful candidate will:
- Function as the principal administrative support for division managers and employees and manage the divisional administration.
- Serve as the divisional coordinator and liaison with other central service providers, such as information technology, facilities, human resources, payroll, and procurement.
- Act as the division’s records lead to support department records management.
- Manage, monitor, and maintain divisional supplies.
- Represents the division and department on committees, events, and projects.
- Supports technical assignments by the division director and Chief Deputy.
- Collaboratively work with the HR/Payroll Administrator and divisional staff to coordinate and manage training records.
- Function as the divisional representative for department safety committee.

- Demonstrated understanding and application of technical appraisal and/or property value accounting data.
- Ability to meet production goals and deadlines and ability to organize and prioritize divisional work.
- Proficiency and ease in using business productivity tools and cutting-edge technology in your everyday work; (We use iPads, Microsoft Office Suite, and other assessment related tools).
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to keep up with evolving business needs through flexibility and rapid integration of new concepts.
- An action-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain composure during peak workload demands.
- An ability to get things done with minimal supervision.
In addition, Any combination of education and/or experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position listed above and may include:
- A minimum of three (3) years of administrative oversight, office management or accounting administration/property appraisal experience, including at least two (2) years of independent administrative or financial responsibility working within a group or team of professional, technical or management staff.
- Two (2) years of experience using a computer and operation-specific software such as Excel, Work and Outlook, as well as other database programs. This experience should include developing and working with complicated spreadsheets, using form/letter templates, receiving, and sending information in these formats via email and updating information in a mainframe database.
