About the Role :
As a vital member of the Parks Seasonal team, you will be performing a variety of work tasks such as landscaping, athletic field maintenance, trail building and maintenance, construction and demolition, invasive weed removal, restoration, planting and working with volunteer groups, etc. Work is performed outdoors and in all types of weather conditions. Seasonal Job Duration : Up to six months from April 15 - October 15, 2025. Both full-time and part-time shifts available

Job Duties
- Provide for the welfare and safety of park visitors by providing assistance and information to patrons, including park rules and regulations.
- Maintain parks grounds and trails, by trimming, mowing, clearing, and removing litter and debris.
- Maintain and prepare athletic fields, arenas, play areas, picnic shelters, restrooms and other park facilities.
- Safely operate and maintain equipment and vehicles such as weed eaters, power blowers, push mowers, and trucks, mowers, small utility vehicles.

Working Conditions
Work Location : Various King County Parks locations. Seasonals are responsible for their own transportation to and from assigned work locations. Please note that many of our reporting locations may not be served by public transportation.
Work Schedule : Temporary Seasonal Positions - up to 6 months of work from April 15 - October 15. This position can work up to 40 hours per week and is overtime eligible. Work weeks vary depending on work assignment and location; shifts may include weekends and evening work. Hours of operation are from 5 : 30 a.m. to midnight, Sunday through Saturday.
Union Representation : This position is represented by Service Employees International Union, Local 925.
