Job Description
This position is a career-service role with clinical responsibilities. The focus is to provide direct patient care, oversee medical management of the Tuberculosis Control Program (TBCP) clients, and provide medical consultation for healthcare professionals outside the TBCP in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical services including diagnosis, treatment, evaluation for treatment response, and management of adverse events.
- Coordinate medical management of TBCP's clients with clinicians outside the TBCP.
- Provide medical consultation for TBCP nurses and for healthcare professionals outside the TBCP in the community.
- Read and interpret chest radiographs and consult with Harborview Medical Center/University of Washington radiologists as needed.
- Participate in weekly case reviews and TB ECHO.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years post-residency experience in infectious diseases, pulmonary medicine, or public health.
- Washington State Drivers' License and the ability to travel to work.
- Current BLS-CPR for Healthcare Providers.
- Washington State Medical License must be obtained prior to employment.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration must be obtained prior to employment.
