About the Role: The Department of Natural Resources and Parks’ Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to serve at the WTD Training Coordinator within the Capital Strategy, Quality, and Standards unit.WTD’s Capital program has grown significantly over the last 30 years and will likely triple in size over the next decade due to keep pace with population increases, heightened regulatory standards, and aging infrastructure. What You Will Be Doing: Training Development and Logistics: Develop training content in collaboration with subject matter experts and internal/external partners. Coordinate all training logistics, including scheduling, live-session support, and conduct in-person facilitations as needed. WTD Training Hub: Development a central WTD training resource for all training that compliments and leverages the County training hub that has already been developed.Communication & Change Management: Partner with the Program Manager on developing and implementing training program communication and change management plans and activities, including creating communication materials and stakeholder outreach. Champion change management and continuous improvement.Engagement & Evaluation: Collaborate on developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to increase engagement, market trainings and services, and improve user experience. Analyze training feedback to assess engagement and learning objective achievement. Prepare data for reporting.Needs Assessment: Assist with needs assessments to identify training opportunities at all levels (individual, group, team, division, department, and organization).Equity & Social Justice Advocacy: Champion Equity & Social Justice, acknowledging the pervasive impact of systemic racism. Facilitate candid conversations about race and equity in the workplace, and how to advance equity in capital programs and the communities served.

Working Conditions: Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with occasional onsite reporting requirements. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104) and treatment plant facilities. This work arrangement promotes work-life-balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department’s vision of Green Where We Work.Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible.
